What does the future of marketing look like?

October 15, 2015 By Jason Hobbs Leave a Comment

Looks a whole lot simpler for owners of very small businesses, 1-5 employees.

The future of marketing includes a whole lot more control for you as the business owner in charge of your marketing. It looks a whole lot simpler for owners of very small businesses, 1-5 employees

No longer do you need to wrangle a litany of solution components together in order to piece together your comprehensive solution.

Lingo aside, you want to make money serving your customer, correct?

I refer to funnels as customer experience paths.

Because your customer experiences her access to your solution over her own, personal, linear line of time.

Each customer starts as a stranger to you and to your solution.

You get their attention.

Then the hard part, keeping the attention.

  • Stranger
  • Acquaintance
  • Friend
  • Fiancee
  • Spouse
  • Parents

Every marker along the path is accompanied by an increased level of trust and responsibility.

Example Path 1: Rainmaker Platform Purchase Path

First step in the customer experience path is the initial call to action to find out more.

Or you could call it the CTA for your awareness campaign.

Step 1: Awareness

Pictured above is the Rainmaker.FM podcast network, specifically showing the footer for the site.

As you can see, its a lovely design AND there’s plenty of CTA’s to the primary call-to-action, Rainmaker Platform.

There aren’t a litany of options, merely a handful of doorways to the next step in the path.

If you look a the top of the design and specifically at the “page” for an individual podcast episode, you see the same. Multiple doors to learn more about Rainmaker Platform.

The Tyranny of Facebook Rainmaker.FM

The path for people wanting to learn more about Rainmaker Platform leads to the home page for rainmakerplatform.com.

Step 2: Interest

Home page of the Rainmaker Platform

The case is laid out, beginning in the upper left hand corner of the home page. CTA’s point to beginning the buying process with a 14-day free trial.

The blue CTA buttons, when clicked, take you here:

Step 3: Formal Sales Landing Page: Pro or Standard Plan?

Sales Landing Page Trial Rainmaker Platform

This page starts the formal buying process by clearly enunciating your two options.

The singular goal of this page is to educate your decision, to help you make the correct call for you and your unique situation/context.

Make your choice of either the Pro or the Standard plan.

Click your chosen blue CTA button and you’re taken:

Step 4: Final Qualifier: Quarterly or Yearly?

Step 2 of Free Trial Signup for Rainmaker Platform

You decide quarterly or yearly and click your chosen button.

Step 5: Secure Checkout Page

Step 3 of Free Trial Signup for Rainmaker Platform

Complete your information and click the blue CTA button at the bottom to be taken to the successful transaction page, of which I don’t have a screenshot.

Step 6: Successful Transaction Page

The idea is to get you acting on your decision. To get your Rainmaker Platform installation going. You’ll be able to access your first Rainmaker Installation on the Your Sites tab. As a Rainmaker Reseller, all my sites are on my Reseller account, in case you were wondering when you see the screenshot below. 🙂

Step 7 Member Dashboard

Your Sites Tab – In case you want to host marketing platforms for multiple businesses, this is where you add the sites.

Step 8 – (Bonus Step)

Rainmaker Forums Tab – Six Forums organized around six relevant topics for business owners using the platform to make rain for their business.

Your day to day actions will primarily be within the Rainmaker Dashboard for your business. Shown below.

Step 9 – Rainmaker Dashboard

Dashboard ‹ Jason Hobbs LLC — Rainmaker Platform

This is where you manage your business.

  • Create products set to expire after a set number of days or months. Build your own sales landing page for your product.
  • Add a new podcast episode.
  • Launch another podcast on your podcast network. Check your sales numbers, see how active your users are.
  • Set up marketing automation to email customers the information they need at the time they need it most, based on their actions while logged into your website.

My point?

Focus on your business, don’t get distracted by the tools or the technology.

I found Rainmaker Platform allows me, and my clients, to focus on growing the business as big as possible, because it’s built on the strongest foundation around.

Future of marketing?

You in control. Focused on growing your business.
